Traffic Trade FAQ

How does the traffic trading work?

All our sites run several custom made scripts to handle the traffic flow. Essentially every hit that is received or sent goes through a script. Only uniques are counted and returned however. To track uniques we use IP addresses as we found cookies unreliable. Basically for a visitor to be counted their IP must not have visited in the previous 24 hours.

So how many hits do you send?

The average hits returned is usually in the region of 150%-200%. This is based on uniques received and sent. The actual ratio for each site depends on both the hits received and procuctivity. You can view stats for both these figures on each sites stats page.
NOTE: Your tracker is unlikely to show the same hits received as my stats show hits sent. Several factors cause independent trackers to be inaccurate, such as surfers closing the page before the tracker loads or not having JavaScript enabled. Your tracker will usually show around 50% the value my exit stats give.

What is productivity tracking?

Essentially productivity measures how many clicks the visitors you send make. A productive visitor is one that clicks on lots of things on our site! We also use IP's to track productivity so when you refer someone to our site you will receive credits for any clicks they make for the following 24 hours.

When does your script reset?

Never! The script always compiles the previous 24 hours of data. This is to ensure the traffic flow is continuous. The problems with reseting is that the data just after the reset isn't very accurrate as you are basically working off just a few minutes data. Essentially a site could sent a batch of hits just after reset and gain the number one position unfairly.

Isn't this just another script site?

Definitely NOT! Most script sites have NO CONTENT and send purely BLIND TRAFFIC. This is why I had to write my own scripts. My scripts simply automate the process that most sites do manually, i.e. counting referrers and balancing hits sent/received. All sites are given text links with the correct title, ensuring quality traffic. Some traffic is also sent via blind links, however this is only used to ensure the hits in/out ratio is fair and maintained for all sites.

Can I send hits from multiple URL's?

YES, as long as the pages are all on the same webspace they will be attributed to your site.
e.g. If your site URL is http://www.yourdomain.com you can send hits from:-
http://www.yourdomain.com/index.html,
http://www.yourdomain.com/html/links.html,
http://www.yourdomain.com/... etc.
Just ensure that all pages are located on the webspace http://www.yourdomain.com

Are non-domain sites okay?

YES! Unlike most other scripts around, ours quite happily copes with non-domain sites. Just be sure to follow the rules above when sending hits.

e.g. If your site URL is http://www.somedomain.com/yoursite/ you can send hits from:-
http://www.somedomain.com/yoursite/index.html,
http://www.somedomain.com/yoursite/html/links.html,
http://www.somedomain.com/yoursite/... etc.
Just ensure that all pages are located on the webspace http://www.somedomain.com/yoursite/

What about sub-domains?

Sub-domains are fine as long as the rules above are observed.
